WINGATE—Glenn D. Wilson, 71, of Lafayette, died in a hospital there at 4 a.m. Wednesday. A veteran of WWI, he was a member of the Mercer Lodge 633 F. & A M. of Wingate, and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Valley of Indianapolis. He was born in Wingate, April 6, 1894 to John E. and Leah Anna Wilson. He was married to Edna Davis, Feb. 4, 1933, who preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 1954. On June 24, 1961, he was married to Dorothy Arndt, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Mrs. Louis Hildinger of Bloomington and Richard Wilson of Lafayette, a step-daughter, in Houston, Tex., and four grandchildren. There are also one brother, Edgar E. Wilson of Wingate, and two sisters Misses Flora and Julia Wilson of Crawfordsville. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Carl, and one sister, Grace. Funeral services will be held at the Soller & Baker Funeral Home in Lafayette at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Masonic services will be conducted there Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, north of New Richmond. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
